Joiners Fees

All Members need to pay a joiners fee (provided that membership does not lapse for 60 days): Adult and Senior $60; Family $75; Youth, High School and College $30.  If upgrading to a different membership category you will be charged the difference in the Join Fees.

Family Membership

Our family policy consists of a legally married male and female and their dependant children.  Children must be living in their household and under the age of 18, or 25 with proof of full-time college credit hours.  These credit hours must be presented when membership is commenced and with every subsequent renewal.

Active Duty Military

If a current member is on active duty, they may request a discount by asking for and filling out an application at the front desk of either branch.

Membership Cards

All members must scan their membership cards upon entering the YMCA facility.  This is to ensure the security of the building.  There is a $5.00 charge for replacement cards.  Membership cards will be issued to members age 9 and older.

Scholarships

It is the policy of the Fox Valley Family YMCA to provide services for any adult, senior, or child who desires to participate and understands the benefits of the YMCA, regardless of ability to pay the standard membership or program fee.  Those not able to pay the full fee may be awarded full or partial assistance based on their demonstrated ability to pay and the YMCA’s ability to fund the subsidy.  Families receiving Financial Aid will be eligible to receive a maximum of $1,000.00 of assistance each year.

Payment Plans

Cash, check, credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express), or bank draft (monthly automatic withdrawal from checking account, a statement savings accounts, and credit cards) is accepted for membership payment.  Please verify that bank draft is compatible with your financial institution. Bank draft cancellations must be received 5 business days prior to the draft date.  We will need a copy of the check, deposit slip, or credit card to take the bank draft payment.  It is the responsibility of the member to provide a copy of the new credit/debit card, should the current card expire.

A $15.00 service fee will be added to returned checks and checking, savings, credit, or debit card drafts.  When the YMCA receives a returned draft we will attempt to redraft the amount on the last business day of the month.  If the draft is returned again, there will be an additional $5.00 charge and membership will be cancelled.  Annual memberships are non-refundable.

The Fox Valley Family YMCA is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members and guests.  To promote safety and comfort for all, we ask all individuals to act appropriately at all times when they are in the facility or participating in programs.  We expect persons using the YMCA to behave in a mature and responsible way and to respect the rights and dignity of  others.  Our Code of Conduct does not permit language or any action that can hurt or frighten another person or that falls below a generally accepted standard of conduct. Specifically, this includes but is not limited to:

If a member or guest feels uncomfortable or threatened, he or she should report to a staff person.

Violation of any of these will be presented to the board and staff for review and may result in the termination or suspension of membership without refund or credit.

    Lockers

Lockers may be rented at $4.00 per month.  This may be paid monthly or bank drafted. A limited number of tall lockers may be rented at $6.00 per month.

Guests must register with their sponsoring member at the registration desk before using the facilities.

All guests must provide proper identification.

All guests must wear appropriate attire.

Members are responsible for the actions of their guests.
It is the responsibility of each member and their guest to abide by the rules of the YMCA and to act in an appropriate manner.
Any person (member or guest) abusing the YMCA and/or exhibiting disruptive behavior will be asked to immediately vacate the premises without a refund.

AWAY members may not bring guests.

Only members will be allowed to check out YMCA equipment.

    YMCA AWAY Program

The welcome mat is always out to you as a member at over 2500 YMCAs across the U. S.   The Y will offer members a chance to stay in shape  when they travel.  Present your membership card at participating Y’s and use of each facility is free or at a reduced rate.  Those using our YMCA on the AWAY program may not bring guests.  Also, those transferring to the Fox Valley Family YMCA from a different YMCA will not be charged a Join Fee, they will only be charged a Transfer Fee of $25.00.  If there was a previous annual membership, the membership will be transferred to the Fox Valley YMCA once the $25.00 fee is paid and will expire on the original date of the membership.  If it is a bank draft transfer, the $25.00 Transfer Fee will need to be paid and new bank information must be submitted. AWAY members will be charged the non-member fee for classes.

    Gift Certificates

The Fox Valley Family YMCA offers gift certificates in any denomination.  Gift certificates can be purchased to be used towards membership or programs.  These certificates are non-refundable.  The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates.

    Membership Cancellation Policy

Memberships are not available for credit or refund.  Memberships may be placed on hold once per calendar year after completion of a change/hold form.  There is a $10 monthly hold fee.  Holds are limited to a maximum of 4 consecutive months.  Annual expiration dates will roll over according to the number of months membership is placed on hold.  Bank draft cancellation forms must be completed before the 1st of the month.  Cancellations will not be accepted in faxed, e-mailed, or USPS mail.  YMCAs are individually operated, therefore, memberships are non-transferable.  YMCA AWAY privileges may still apply.  There is a cancellation policy for all new memberships.  If you have a circumstance arise and need to cancel, you must notify the YMCA Membership Department within 72 hours of joining.  If the member was enrolled in a YMCA class, the difference between the member and non-member rate will be taken from the refundable amount.  All requests are subject to a $10.00 processing fee.  Cancellation policy is subject to change.
