Creative and Performing Arts

Music
Private piano, voice, guitar, and drum lessons can be taken at our YMCA. We also offer a YMCA Choir. Some classes are branch specific.

Dance
Dance classes are offered for children as young as 18 months, teens, and adults. Our classes include various levels of the following: ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, salsa, Irish dance, ballroom, and creative movement.

Concerts
Participants of our Music and Dance classes get together annually in December and June to put on a great show!

Art
We offer many classes and workshops, some of which include Young Art, Let Me Paint, Dynamic Ceramics, Fabulous Fleece, Jewelry and the Beads, Drawing, Photography, Scrap Booking, Creative Writing and much more!

Birthday Parties
The Arts Department offers a variety of birthday parties for kids age 5 & up.

American Idol Birthday Party
At this party, you'll get the star treatment! Get your hair, make-up, and nails done, then learn cool dance steps to your favorite song and sing along with it!

Art Birthday Party*
At this party you will use your creativity to make fun art projects! Choose from painting, drawing, or ceramics.

Hip Hop Birthday Party
Celebrate your birthday learning cool moves to popular music! Guys and girls both welcome to participate.

Pirate Birthday Party*
Ahoy Mate! You'll have a blast at this one-of-a-kind party! Go on a treasure hunt to find your presents, make pirate crafts, and play fun pirate games!

Princess Tea Birthday Party
Get treated like a princess for an afternoon filled with make-up, sparkles, stories, and more! Girls will love this fabulous makeover party! The Birthday Girl will receive a princess crown to wear home.

Ballerina Birthday Party
Learn graceful ballet moves and perform ballet dances at this birthday party. We'll have a fashion sow and play lots of fun games too. The Birthday Ballerina Princess receives a birthday crown to wear home.

Pizza, cake, juice, and paper products will be provided by the YMCA. All parties are 2 hours in length. Parties require a $50 non-refundable deposit. Remainder of party fees must be paid 24 hours prior to date of birthday party. A $25 late fee will be charged if payment in full is not received 24 hrs before your scheduled party. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance; special dates require 2 months advance booking. Maximum number of participants is 12. And additional fee will apply if number of participants exceeds 12. Fee: $130 for Members / $160 for Non-members
